Michael Vick is climbing his way back to the top both on and off the field. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback just re-signed a new endorsement deal with Nike.

CNBC reports that they believe it is the first time in the history of sports marketing, that a brand that dumped an athlete came back to sign him.

Nike suspended it’s original contract with the player on July, 27 2007, after he was found to have been involved in an illegal dog fighting ring.

“Michael acknowledges his past mistakes,” Nike said in a statement. “We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.”

Vick is proving that you can make a mistake in life and bounce back from it.
